Pastor Ben Scheck
Ben is a third-generation pastor who grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and learned to be a diehard Packer fan. He attended Concordia University Irvine and Concordia University Nebraska where he graduated with a degree in Elementary Education. He taught in Lutheran grade schools in Ohio and California before moving to Texas in 2003 where he finished his eleven year teaching career at Crown of Life Lutheran Church & School. Ben was called to be the Director of Youth Ministry at Crown of Life in 2005 and then completed the Specific Ministry Pastor program through Concordia Seminary in St. Louis and was ordained as a pastor in 2013. In 2021 Ben moved to Argyle where he accepted God’s call to serve as Pastor to the wonderful folks of The Grove. Ben’s best friend is his amazing wife Aletha who co-founded a non-profit organization called Chance to Soar in 2018 which serves the needs of teachers and students in the DFW area. Ben and Aletha were married in 1994 and have three grown, wonderful children: Gabrielle, Ian and Jonas.
Ben is a thrill-seeker who loves spending time with his wife going to the movies, eating out and exploring adventures together with the family locally and abroad. He loves scuba diving, going to Ranger games, meeting new people and showing others the love of Jesus through magic.
